This is the Visually Perceivable Memories Thread!

Before getting to the rules, let me explain what this thread is for:

This is a thread made to post images that have personal value or a fun memory attached to them. We'll have to explain why we chose the image in question, what it means to us, and where we got it from

Now, rules are fairly simple and HAVE TO BE OBEYED 100% OF THE TIME, so please, listen up

this image has been floating around for a long ass time but every time i see it it reminds me of this one time when i was a little kid, probably in kindergarden or first grade, i went to the mall with my grandma around Christmas time to pick out some gifts for my parents with her. really that just meant she could buy some gifts for them and put "FROM:ANON" on them - just a cutesy thing to do with a kid.

anyways, while we were shopping i noticed a display with all these pins on them, similar to the one in picrel. but sort of christmas themed and with some fake jewels in them. for whatever reason i thought one in particular would be perfect for my grandma. its like a bejeweled christmas tree design.

so i grabbed her and told her i wanted to get her a present too, she told me i didnt have to but i insisted. and when i showed her what i wanted to get her; this little christmas themed probably $10 pin. she got super happy and thanked me and told me she would cherish it forever.

so, she "let me buy" that pin for her. and to this day decades later she still has it on her night stand and wears it every christmas. that memory of her in the mall surprised at what i picked out for her comes to mind every time i see this image.
